Though we be many, yet we all are one
Day by Day and House to House
For over 60 years, the churches in the Sacramento Valley have been meeting and growing throughout the region. Beginning as one of the first regions in the United States to gather in a simple, scriptural way, we bear a rich spiritual heritage of realizing that the church is the Body of Christ and we cannot merely be individual believers.
Our Gatherings
From larger church meetings, to small groups in homes, or gatherings in twos and threes, our church members love to meet!
Small Groups
Our home meetings are at the heart of our church life and community. We usually gather in a home around a warm meal and the word of God. Being in smaller groups allows us to do life together, grow in our faith, and have accountability for our spiritual pusuit. We warmly welcome you to reach out to be connected to a group.
Lord’s Table
As believers in Christ who love and serve Him, we enjoy the Lord’s table each Sunday which concludes with a time to worship the Father, as Jesus demonstrated to His disciples while on the earth.
Prophesying Meetings
Named after the practice of the biblical principle in 1 Corinthians 14 that each one can speak Christ to one another for the building up of the church, we practice to share with one another what we have enjoyed from God's word in an open session of mutual teaching and encouragement.
Cluster Meetings
Although we usually meet weekly in the city where we live, we also love to gather with other churches in the Sacramento Valley and Northern California. We find that getting together with nearby churches enriches our fellowship.
Special Events
Throughout the year, we host events, retreats, conferences, and specialized trainings for different age groups, languages, and life-stages all designed to strengthen our faith and equip us for continued growth in Christ.
Gospel Outreach
We go out weekly in our community and on nearby campuses to witness to the wonderful salvation that is in Christ and thus participate in His commission to go forth and preach the gospel to all the nations.
Our Beliefs
We hold the faith which is common to all the believers (Titus 1:4).
- The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word by word by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Pet. 1:21, 2 Tim. 3:16).
- God is uniquely one, yet triune - the Father, the Son, and the Spirit (1 Tim. 2:5a, Matt. 28:19).
- The Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ (John 1:1, John 1:14).
- Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption (1 Pet. 2:24, Eph. 1:7a).
- Christ resurrected from among the dead on the third day (1 Cor. 15:4).
- Christ ascended to the right hand of God to be Lord of all (Acts 1:9, Acts 2:33, Acts 2:36).
- Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the one Body of Christ (Acts 20:21, John 3:3, Eph. 1:22-23, Rom. 12:5).
- Christ is coming again to receive His believers to Himself (1 Thes. 2:19).
Our History
Our story started in the early 1960s with two brothers meeting at 6AM for over a year in Sacramento to pray for the Lord's testimony here.
From those humble beginnings in a neighborhood living room, we have grown into eleven localities throughout the Sacramento Valley and Reno.
We have also benefited greatly from the ministry and writings of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee. Beginning with being impacted by reading the Normal Christian Church Life in our early days, we have continued to receive the supply and blessing of this ministry.
Today, we remain dedicated to the same spiritual fellowship that sparked our history, warmly inviting others to join us in witnessing what the Lord is doing in our region today.
